With the new patch, we have a new logo on the splash screen - Infinity Interactive.

D3GO and Demiurge are still there, so...new partner?
A quick google shows them to be a team of coders mainly.

Wonder what this means? Outsourcing coding?
Good, bad or meh, whatever?

Maybe the actual gem matching engine is licensed software from Infinite's original PQ series, and now requires attribution, for whatever reason.

Infinite Interactive developed Puzzle Quest. According to the blog on their site, they consulted on MPQ, which was developed by Demiurge. Oddly, the latest entry on their blog is from the week MPQ went live.

Maybe it's overdue recognition? And/or maybe the dev team is going back to the franchise roots?

Hi, the above is mostly correct. Infinite Interactive are the original creators of Puzzle Quest and still serve as consultants for Puzzle Quest-related games.

So this is a recognition of II's contribution to the game, rather than a company reorganization for either Demiurge or D3 Go? Okay.

To be fair, that's their old logo. The company has changed the name to Infinity Plus 2 and rocking a new logo.

Well, considering the post is about to go green, it'd make more sense to call it "constructive criticism." icon_e_wink.gificon_e_smile.gif
